Our Local White Sand Beaches Cape Sable Island welcomes you to our shores... enjoy our rugged coastline and our beautiful, pristine, uncrowded, family friendly white sand beaches that stretch for ever. On Cape Island you will find 5 white sand beaches... all accessible to the public. Off the Island in nearby Villagedale you can enjoy one of our local Provincial Parks- The Sandhills... so named because of its many extensive sand dunes. The dunes are crossable by means of boardwalks. The Sandhills features a lovely grassy picnic area complete with picnic tables and benches, and nearby changing rooms, bathrooms, and an outside shower. This park closes at dusk and is monitored by Park Wardens. There are several other beaches that you may not find on your maps, but if you ask we will gladly point you in the right direction. Bring your sand bucket, and enjoy! White Sand and Blue Waters... Paradise! 1.  The boardwalk at our first white sand beach- North East Point Beach or as its locally known the Causeway Beach.2.  The busy parking lot at the Causeway Beach.3.  The Causeway Beach is also home to many small boats in the summertime.4.  The Causeway boats.5.  Walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the views.6.  The small fishing boats tied up for the day.7.  Driving across the causeway to the Island (Cape Sable Island)... this is your first sight! Heaven indeed!8.  Just a little ripple...9.
